Status Panel

The Status Panel is located toward the right end of the Tool Bar and looks like this:

It provides information on the status of the Control Manager system.

Normal Operation

In normal operation, the first line shows the name of the file that is currently loaded into the GUI for editing. For this name to be set, the file must have been loaded from disk initially or saved to disk at some point during the edit process. If not, there is no name associated with the map and the display shows "NoName.map" as the filename.

The second line shows the name of the last file that was downloaded. You must have downloaded at least one file at some point or the entry will show "None". This is the name of the file that is running if the Control Manager is currently in Mapped Mode. If the Control Manager is not in Mapped Mode then setting it to Mapped Mode will activate this file.

In this mode, you can double-click anywhere on the Status Panel and the file specified as the last downloaded file will be loaded into the GUI for editing if it exists. If there's already a file in the GUI, you'll be given the chance to save it.

Operation During Download

During a download, the Status Panel shows the current compile or download operation being performed. The first line of the display will say something like "Activating Test1.map", indicating the name of the file that it is in the process of compiling and downloading. The second line give an indication of how the download process is proceeding by showing you the particular operation currently being carried out.
